RIP: MuchFACT?

The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission has effectively killed MuchFACT, the MuchMusic funded Foundation to Assist Talent on video.
As part of Bell Media’s TV renewal approval, the CRTC approved the deletion of required contributions to MuchFACT by Much and sister station Gusto (formerly M3).

Last week, I had the pleasure of attending a benefit concert held at Centre Pierre Charbonneau organized by father daughter power team Christina and Johnny Capobianco. Last week, concertgoers who had purchased tickets to the Pemberton Music Festival got terrible news. Not only was the event suddenly cancelled, but ticketholders couldn’t receive refunds. Fans who wanted refunds were asked to fill out a form as unsupported creditors.
