JUNO Award nominated producer Muneshine recently released a new track “Full Throttle”. Working in collaboration with Canadian mainstays Darcys, the song sees both artists stepping outside their comfort zones to create something brand new. “Full Throttle” is an upbeat, nu-disco single, which is uncharted territory for both the respected electronic producer and art rock duo.

On the collaboration, Muneshine notes “Wes and Jason [Darcys] are great to work with. They’re obviously great songwriters and musicians, but beyond that, we just get along as humans. We share a similar dark and sarcastic sense of humour as well, which makes our sessions an evil pleasure. I love having an idea on my own and finding my own way to express it, but when you bring other people that you trust creatively into the fold and put your heads together you’re forced to explore possibilities that live beyond your own imagination. That’s a beautiful thing.”

Thematically, “Full Throttle” is about escaping what weighs you down – work stress, school stress, relationship stress – a topic that resonates universally. Though from exceedingly different genres, the track shows that an unexpected connection can lead to great things. Brought together by a Rubber Tracks initiative, both artists quickly hit it off and now share a thriving work relationship.
