Sunday saw the SaskTel Centre in Saskatoon, SK play host to the great and the good of the North American Country Music scene for the latest instalment of the CCMA’s annual award ceremony.
Dean Brody stole the night taking home no less than five awards ranging from Recording Package Of The Year for his album, Beautiful Freakshow to the Apple Music Fans’ Choice Award (full list of winners below)

Enjoy your sunshine and great weather! We had a beautiful weekend here, sunny, highs in the low 20s, and low humidity.
We had it coolish if sunny, but we’ve simply not had enough sun to dry even the topsoil. Climate has tended to remain humid, high dewpoint sort of thing. So this forecast week of just sun would be welcome. The only thing is I’m not sure we’re not going to get cloud cover from the remnants of either of those two American hurricanes.
Stars is scheduled to be on q this Wednesday. Interview, of course, but also a live (not “recorded live”) performance.
I heard Alvvays on q on Friday, and rather enjoyed the interview and performance. Looking forward to Stars this week!
