Hey Our Basement,
Over the years, Feel Alright has evolved into a collaborative live project who called both Montreal and Pittsburgh home before eventually settling in Calgary. We’ve dabbled with folks from around the globe – from reissuing our debut full-length, Hahahahahaha, on vinyl in 2015 by Tonal Plexus out of Athens, Greece, to releasing a split EP with Toronto’s (now inactive) Century Palm.
I wrote our new song, “Cool Water,” during my move back to Calgary from Pittsburgh. It was inspired by my thoughts about the kinds of people who work tirelessly to contribute something vital to the music community, without receiving anything in return in terms of conventional success, and the cycles of exhaustion and propulsion that characterize being a cultural worker in a city like Calgary.
We’ve toured extensively as Feel Alright, playing at venues varying from a dingy apartment in Athens, Greece to the main stage at Sled Island. We plan to play in a Canadian town near you following the release of our forthcoming new record, so stay tuned.

Hi everybody
Hello, you.
Greetings and salutations!
Did anyone else watch Roseanne last night?
Nope. Though I read that a ‘thing’ is being made about a remark she passed regarding them falling asleep and missing black-ish and Fresh Off the Boat (I think it’s called).
Here: http://www.newsweek.com/roseanne-black-ish-and-fresh-boat-870298?utm_source=fark&utm_medium=website&utm_content=link&ICID=ref_fark
Warning, auto-sound and video, lots of garbage.
My opinion (just read the remarks, didn’t hear them): seems more to me an inclusive throwaway line than anything racist.
I was more bothered about the depiction of common assault by pushing a teenage girls head into the kitchen sink and dousing her with water
Yeah, that’s not right. You want a strong reaction from me? Just try that (I say in theory).
To be fair they did say the families on those shows are “just like us”
Exactly.
I didn’t watch either, though it doesn’t sound like I would have enjoyed it.
Jack White’s interviewed on q this morning. I missed most of it. Also, a song from his latest record at the end.
The one I preferred in those rare episodes of the old Roseanne that I saw, was Sara Gilbert. Fast, cutting delivery, matching that look in her eye.
Y’know what’s worse than abusing exclamation marks? Using eleven emojis in a row — and this after writing something. Currently on the FB.
….on the other hand, q’s also got Jersey Shore with a block party. Ummmmmmmm
…and as if that weren’t enough variety, the item after 11 is about a musician who’s found some Gramophone cylinders of First Nations folks, and has made an ‘overlay’ piece of music with it. (Well many, I suppose) —> Jeremy Dutcher
Good morning!
My favourite scene in classic Roseanne was a post credit thing of Laurie Metcalf (Aunt Jackie) was sat on the couch pollishing an Emmy she had won before Roseanne saw her and chased her around the studio

That’s hilarious! Talk about breaking the fourth wall!
Or maybe it’s “breaking the studio wall”.
That’s fun, I liked that John Goodman got in on it too.
Hmmm, I don’t think I have ever listened to any of Feel Alright’s music … and I see they have several albums available on Spotify. Excellent, something to check out while I spend the day at the hospital getting more blood work done and a laundry list of other stuff.
Thanks for keeping my ears happy while I drag the rest of me around.
It’s WENZDEE!
Chopz on at 2:00 and 4:00 PM EAST on http://radio-red.com/
