Cross Country Tour: Saskatchewan Sounds

We’re hitting the road again—musically speaking—with the launch of our 2025 Cross-Canada Playlist Series, starting right in the heart of the prairies: Saskatchewan.

Back in the early days of OurBasement, we explored the diverse sounds of Canada through regional playlists. Our first Saskatchewan stop was back in September 2016, with a follow-up in 2021, both highlighting the rich, often underrated musical talent of the province. Now, in 2025, it’s time for another visit.

For this updated Saskatchewan Sounds playlist, I revisited the 2021 edition and built a new mix that blends freshly released music from Saskatchewan artists and standout tracks from the past few years. The focus this time was on more recent releases, giving a spotlight to current voices and emerging talent from across the province.

Saskatchewan may not be one of Canada’s major music industry hubs, but The Land of Living Skies continues to produce a wealth of deeply creative, powerful, and heartfelt music.
