Vocalist and songwriter Pete kept seeing the numbers 1234 everywhere.
Upon a very brief dive into what that could mean, he chose to take it as a sign that he was on the right path, even if it was different than what he would have envisioned for himself.
Ironically, this was a relatively quick song to write with the chords first and lyrics shortly afterwards.
That pedal steel by Joey Bones was a nice flourish.
