Hey Our Basement,

Birds in the wild see colours differently than humans do. For example, the male yellow-breasted chat has a yellow breast to the human eye, but a bird’s eye view reveals ultraviolet iridescent feathers on his chest which set him apart from the females of the species.

My upcoming EP, Iridescence, shows who I am as an artist along with reflections on recent events in my life. “Do You Miss Me?,” the song I am sharing with you now, is nostalgic and hopeful as it reflects on coping during a breakup.

You never know what the other person is thinking and you can find yourself asking questions in your head like, “Are they thinking of me? Do they miss me?”

You can listen to “Do You Miss Me?” on your streaming service of choice.

I chose two hands reaching for each other for this song’s artwork to highlight the desire to relive the moments you once cherished with a significant other.

The hands have an iridescent gradient map over them to signify the true colours that each person in that relationship saw in one another.

In writing “Do You Miss Me?” I have learned that life goes on. Even though you may be in a bad place during a breakup, it always gets better over time.

Thank you for listening,
