It’s pretty good. I’m a little surprised by how male-dominated it is.

I noticed on the youtubes that there is also an Australian one, and then a few others that don’t specify a country, just indie compilations.

Actually it looks like there were a few Canadian Indie musicians nominated, including A Tribe Called Red, Jill and Matthew Barber, Strumbellas, and Whitehorse.

Love the collection of articles Garf. I meant to make sure you saw that Paper Bag Records thing but you found it. Mac DeMarco as God is hilarious. I am not very worried about Toronto’s live music scene. I am much more concerned with Regina’s. ;p The Canadian Indie Compilation is lovely even if it is a year and a half old.

I did have second thoughts about the Toronto live music scene story because of the fact it is happening in other areas on both sides of the Atlantic but I thought that it would at least mean the story is mentioned even if it does focus on ~~the centre of the universe~~ Toronto.

It might be worth doing a piece about live music venues throughout Canada with different people looking at the scene where they live.

I wasn’t meaning the story wasn’t important, it does address a trend all over. Regina’s has gotten worse lately and I don’t like it. If artists come to Saskatchewan, they are more likely to go to Saskatoon even if that means a longer drive. That concerns me.

160m? You should be able to cover that distance in about 30 seconds. All you need is a handstamp from each venue and a good pair of running shoes and you should be able to catch every other song from both. Win-win!
