Edmonton based progressive indie rock band The New Haunts are an unconventional mix of guitar riffs and detailed rhythms. They produce truly original music by combining influences from each member’s eclectic styles and musicalities. The music is inventive, honest, and attempts to connect with the listener on a thoughtful and emotional level.

The project began when former co-workers Rory Brown and Aaron Sabourin met by chance in an Edmonton guitar shop. Rory had an opportunity to go into the studio and they decided to collaborate on a record. They added Bruce Pelland on bass before beginning work in the studio. After completing the album at Sound Extractor Studios with Stew Kirkwood producing, engineering, and drumming on the record they brought Bill George on as drummer for live shows and future projects.

The current line up has been perfecting their live show as well as continued creative work for follow up releases since 2015 and are just beginning to hit their stride. As Oskar Zybart from CKUA radio said: “Their’s remains one of the best live performances I’ve seen this year and shows great promise of better things to come.”
