Hey Our Basement!
This has been a long time coming, after years of touring supporting my friends musical endeavors, I decided to officially start my own.
My first release, “Waterbaby,” is an underwater love song that was made for sunny days. It was produced by myself with words and vocals from José Contreras.
This was our first time collaborating with each other. The recording process was like dipping two pieces of dark chocolate into a jar of natural peanut butter at once for the first time. But seriously, Jose is a complete inspiration of a human. Pure trust of intuition.
I’d like to look at the next 12 months as if I was leaving a trail of breadcrumbs, releasing new songs monthly; keeping things fresh and my space open to continue creating intuitively.

How is everyone?
Stressing a bit about all I have to get done before I leave for Gateway Festival and then Kaslo, but excited to be off work for a couple weeks.
I am busy stressing and then procrastinating about this mental health course
Oh and I am also stressed about the fact Boris will become Prime Minister tomorrow
I was going to ask about that, i mean Boris the PM, that is a bit stressful, is he really going to be more successful for Brexit? I somehow doubt it.

I am afraid I am behind on this Boris guy but it doesn’t sound like a good thing. This unrest in the world is stressful.

Hi Darlene! Unrest is the new norm unfortunately, everything has gone to hell in a hand basket! I think PM May was more liked with the EU than Boris is. Trump likes him, which means we should all be wary.
Yikes!! That is terrifying!
Boris has been promising unicorns since he started calling for us to leave the EU, and now that he has finished hiding and letting May fail in an impossible mission he has returned to promise more unicorns that people are falling for again.
Remember the £350 million a week he promised to shift from funding the EU and to be spent on healthcare when we don’t give the EU that much.
The path forward is definitely unclear, I wonder if at some point the EU may have had enough and will force it one way or the other
I don’t know if I have mentioned this before but I want to live in Canada!
Remember, Boris is not actually PM until tomorrow. With any luck the world might end before then.

Why is it that no matter how many times you check the fridge it doesn’t refill on its own
Why is it that my full fridge has nothing edible in it?
Come here for some food my friends! You know I am always cooking. You may not like what is in the fridge but you could try some avocado chocolate mouse or a pureed veggie soup served with Hallumi cheese and pesto or maybe some kale chips …
We could also talk politics and loose our appetites and not have to worry about the food.

a monthly song is kind of irritating but i guess that is a way of keeping people interested when you work in the independent music business.

@morgana – My plan is to eat a bit healthier. Now that I don’t have to cater to my son’s dietary needs, I should be able to manage it. Unfortunately, I go to the doc in 45 min and don’t have enough time to change things. I am not looking forward to the reprimands on not taking better care of myself.

My doctor gave me a talking too the last time I was in her office.
She noticed the dog bite that I had not had looked at … bad me.
It has been a while since I spoke to a doctor but I regularly ignore the “eat better and exercise more” lecture
I had that lecture once. Most all of my doctor visits have been to specialists and they usually wonder what happened that I am so messed up.
I take it you have chosen not to tell them about the secret stuntwoman job you once had

I have to head back into the kitchen as we have guests arriving today and tomorrow.
In a few days I am making a cake for my birthday as well.

That’s the problem. It is usually about Devin. I was there with Devin and got a prescription refill while I was there. He noticed how long it had been since I had seen him and jokingly told me I was a bad example for Devin. Haha
