Hey Our Basement,
I wrote “Mind and Soul” about a friend that I fell in love with during my mid-twenties.
We were “in the grey” and I didn’t know where he stood with the relationship, so I was afraid to tell him that I wanted more than just a casual fling.
I finally got the courage to call him and tell him how I felt. I was scared of getting hurt, but I felt empowered by taking my life into my own hands and asking for what I wanted.
I think dating can be so hard in this day and age, with the illusion of choice that exists through apps and people playing games. It makes you afraid of expressing your honest feelings in a clear way.
“Mind and Soul” explores the playfulness and excitement of a definite attraction between two people, but there are also deeper feelings beneath the surface.
I hope you can connect with the sexy vibe of the music as well as the earnestness of wanting love.
Thank you for taking a listen,
Chynna Lewis
Good day folks!
Hi Dar,
Hey Scott. Have you been lonely around here?
It has been very quiet.
Are your performances finished now?
How did they go?
They are done and they were great. Life continues to be busy but I am finding my balance.
My radio show, The Basement, moved to a 2 hour show during drive time. It’s on Mondays from 4 to 6 pm, on 91.3 FM CJTR Regina Community Radio! That’s been fun. 😀
It has been way too quiet around here and we need to change that!
Cool, I expect 4-6pm would be a pretty popular.
I know zero about radio though so I could be wrong.
I usually listen to CBC radio two when I’m driving.
It is a high listener time and is a “promotion” for me. I was on for 1 hour on Sunday evening previously. I am usually listening to CJTR in the car but sometimes CBC.
Well I’m off for the day. See you tomorrow
I will try to check back in tomorrow again. Have a good evening Scott!
